The Saudi Esports Federation hosted the TEKKEN 7 Nations Cup, televised live from Boulevard Riyadh City, with sixteen international teams competing. From July 6 to 9, gamers could choose from more than 40 characters to use in battle as they competed for a share of a $1 million prize pool.
The TEKKEN gaming franchise’s most popular iteration, TEKKEN 7, is one among the top 10 best-selling fighting games of all time. In front of a sold-out crowd on Sunday, the Pakistani team led by Arslan Siddique, also known as “Arslan Ash,” Imran Khan, and Atif Butt was victorious in the championship match and took home the prized trophy.

Following their victory over South Korea, the three players raised the trophy as the fervent crowd at the stadium chanted “Pakistan” in a loud and enthusiastic manner.
Khan’s Gratitude and Surprising Win
Khan expressed his gratitude to God by saying, “Alhamdulillah, I am feeling very blessed, very good,” following the victory. “The people of Saudi Arabia are really lovely. “I don’t know how we won, but I think it’s because of our mothers’ prayers that were behind us, and that’s why we won.”
With a victory over the United Kingdom by a score of 2-1 on Saturday, Pakistan advanced to the championship round of the competition. Earlier in the competition, the nation from South Asia advanced to the semifinals of the competition after advancing out of the group stage with victories over South Africa, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
Recently, gamers hailing from Pakistan have been topping Tekken events held all around the world. The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) Japan 2023 was the largest video game fighting competition that has ever been held, and Siddique won the global Tekken 7 competition in April. He took home the win at the top video game fighting competition in the world.
The Unified EVO Champion
At the moment, he holds three titles from previous EVO competitions. After winning the Tekken 7 tournament that was hosted in Japan in February 2019, Siddique went on to win the Tekken 7 EVO that was held in Las Vegas later that same year, making him the first player to ever become the unified EVO champion.
Proud Pakistani!
