Significantly, Sri Lanka’s score of 50 runs is now the lowest total in the history of the Asia Cup. They have beaten the previous record. Which was held by Bangladesh, who were bowled for 87 runs when playing Pakistan in the year 2000.
In addition, Sri Lanka’s total of 50 runs in the event final is the lowest in the history of men’s one-day internationals. In addition to that, it is the third time this year that Sri Lanka has been bowled out for a score of less than one hundred in one-day internationals.
