After Wimbledon Men’s Final, Novak Djokovic Withdraws From Toronto

Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the National Bank Open, opting for additional rest following his Wimbledon men’s final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz.

It was confirmed by Tennis Canada that Novak Djokovic would not be participating in the lone stop in Canada. After losing to the number one-ranked Alcaraz in the Wimbledon men’s final last Sunday. The 36-year-old player, who has won 23 Grand Slam titles, was scheduled to start his hard-court preparations for the U.S. Open. The match went the full five sets.
